2026 Water Smart School Challenge
Primary School Competition
Our Water, Our Responsibility. Protect it. Respect it. Preserve it.
As part of Provo Water Company’s 15th Annual Drinking Water Week, we are inviting primary schools across the Turks and Caicos Islands to take part in our Water Smart School Challenge.
This two-week initiative is designed to help students build simple, lasting water-saving habits, both at school and at home. It’s practical, engaging, and a great way to bring students, teachers and families together around something that matters to all of us.

How it works
Schools take part over a two-week period, encouraging students to complete a series of easy water-saving actions. These can be done in the classroom, around the school, and at home.
Each school will:
Track participation using a simple checklist
Capture a few photos along the way
Submit a short summary of what was achieved
What students will learn
- The value of water in everyday life
- How small actions can make a real difference
- The importance of protecting a shared resource
Prizes (School Challenge)
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $200
Schools will be judged on participation, creativity and real impact.
Senior School Poster Competition

How it works
Design a poster based on the theme “Our Water, Our Responsibility: Protect it. Respect it. Preserve it.”
Submit your poster to Provo Water Company in Grace Bay before the deadline. You can submit it yourself or through your school. One entry per student.
What students will learn
Students will learn about the importance of water conservation and how their everyday actions can help protect water resources. It also encourages creativity, clear communication, and personal responsibility.
Prizes (School Challenge)
1st Prize: Apple MacBook 13-inch laptop
2nd Prize: Lenovo IdeaPad 14-inch laptop
3rd Prize: HP 15.6-inch laptop
Posters will be judged on participation, creativity and real impact.
Deadline
All submissions must be received by 18th May 2026 before 4:00 PM.
Entries should be delivered to the Provo Water Company office in Grace Bay (across from Club Med).
Winners will be announced on May 21, 2026 via Provo Water Company social media.
Judging Criteria
Primary Schools
- Participation – level of student involvement across the school or class
- Creativity – how the challenge was approached and presented
- Impact – evidence of real water-saving actions and awareness
- Engagement – enthusiasm shown by students and teachers
Secondary Posters
- Creativity and originality
- Relevance to the theme
- Clarity of message
- Visual impact and neatness
Additional Information
- Schools are encouraged to include both school-based and at-home activities
- Photos and summaries may be used by Provo Water Company for promotional and educational purposes
- Poster competition is open to students in Forms 1 to 5
- Posters must be hand-drawn by one student, no computer graphics
- Use plain white or off-white paper, sized between 8.5 x 11 inches and 18 x 24 inches
- Only certain materials are allowed (no glitter or glued items)
- Write student details clearly on the back
- All entries become the property of Provo Water Company and may be used for future campaigns
- Entries that do not follow the rules may be disqualified
- Submissions should be clear, concise and reflect genuine participation
- Entries that do not meet the guidelines or miss the deadline may not be considered
