World Laboratory Day 2025
Provo Water Company Commemorates World Laboratory Day
In recognition of World Laboratory Day, the Water Quality Department at Provo Water Company hosted a special open house, inviting staff from across the company to engage in a hands-on laboratory experience. Employees had the opportunity to test water samples and gain insight into the scientific processes that ensure the safety and reliability of the water supply.
The event highlighted the essential role laboratory operations play in maintaining public health. Participants explored the rigorous testing procedures and quality controls that underpin the delivery of clean drinking water to the community.
Provo Water Company performs over 10,000 water quality tests annually as part of its commitment to excellence in water safety and distribution. The open house offered a valuable occasion for the lab team to demonstrate their daily responsibilities and the level of precision required in their work.
Water Quality Department Manager, Mrs. Sherry Bell-Parker, expressed her appreciation for the engagement shown by colleagues across the organization. “I’m incredibly proud of the work our lab team does day in and day out to ensure our customers have safe water every time they turn on the tap,” she said.
