Value on Tap is a series of simple updates to how we manage customer accounts, connections and deposits. These changes are designed to keep our policies fair, clear and up to date – and aligned with current regulations, while continuing to deliver safe, reliable water across Providenciales.
Value on Tap is an initiative to simplify and modernize customer service policies.
We are updating our systems to ensure customer accounts, deposits, and service connections remain clear, consistent and easy to understand.
These updates will help:
- Simplify customer account classifications
- Standardize domestic deposits
- Improve consistency in service connections
As the Turks and Caicos Islands continue to develop, Provo Water Company regularly reviews its policies to ensure they remain practical, fair, and aligned with the Water and Sewerage Ordinance.
There are three main updates:
Customer categories
Residential and Commercial accounts will now be called Domestic and Non-domestic.
(This is simply a name change to better reflect how water is used.)
Service Connections
- Properties with up to three (3) service connections will generally be classified as Domestic and charged the existing Domestic connection fee.
- Properties requesting four (4) or more service connections will generally be classified as Non-Domestic and charged the existing Non-Domestic fees, as these are typically considered investment or income-generating developments.
Domestic Deposits
For domestic water services, the standard refundable deposit for a 5/8” meter will apply to all customers. Domestic properties include houses, apartments, villas and condominiums.
All other deposits will continue to be based on the size of the meter or connection.
A Domestic property is a standard residential property used mainly for living purposes and with up to three water connections. It must include living areas such as a kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms.
Examples include:
- Houses
- Individual apartments or condominiums
- Private villas
