Provo Water Company Takes a Green Step Forward: Embracing Electric Vehicles and Solar Power

Providenciales, 15th August 2023. Provo Water Company is excited to announce its latest commitment to environmental sustainability through the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and the installation of solar panels. As part of our ongoing endeavors to protect the environment and build a sustainable future, we are proud to introduce the first batch of electric vehicles into our fleet.

With these new additions, Provo Water Company is setting a bold target to replace all gas and diesel vehicles in our fleet with electric alternatives by the end of 2024.
The shift to electric vehicles is a significant step towards reducing our carbon footprint and mitigating the environmental impact of our operations. Electric vehicles produce zero emissions while driving, contributing to a cleaner atmosphere and helping combat air pollution. By reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, we can actively address the challenges posed by their scarcity and associated geopolitical issues.

In line with our commitment to sustainability, we have also taken the initiative to install six charging posts at our Grace Bay office. This infrastructure will enable convenient charging for our electric vehicles, supporting a smooth transition towards cleaner transportation.  Furthermore, we are excited to announce that we will be incorporating solar panels into our offices.

The advantages of solar energy are multifaceted, benefiting both the environment and our business operations. Solar power generates clean and renewable energy, leading to a further reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. By harnessing the power of the sun, we can embrace a more sustainable and responsible approach to our energy consumption.
